RANDOM: The Guessing Game
RANDOM: The Guessing Game
Twenty rounds. Each round the server draws a hidden number from 0 to 99, and everyone picks one number from their own pool of a hundred. Closest to the target takes the round - but the number you play is spent forever, and four more are struck at random from what is left. Only you ever see which. By the twentieth round you are choosing between five.
Multiplayer by design. Create a room and share the four-character code, join a public room from the browser, or drop straight into a match against bots.
HOW TO PLAY
Every round the server draws a secret number from 0 to 99. You pick one number from your own pool of a hundred. Closest to the target takes the round.
The number you play is spent forever, and four more are struck at random - so the pool shrinks every round. Nobody else ever learns which numbers you lost; only how many you have left.
Scoring is 10 / 6 / 3 / 1 by place, and landing exactly on the target doubles it. Ties split the combined points of the places they occupy.
Twenty rounds, roughly ten minutes.
CONTROLS
Arrows or WASD to move the cursor, Enter to lock in your pick, Tab to jump to a number you still hold, 1 to 8 for an emote, Escape to leave or go back. Works by mouse or touch too - the first click moves, the second locks in.
